About Hydro - Company History

Hydro Instruments has been manufacturing highest quality equipment for the water treatment industry since 1978. We manufacture a complete line of vacuum solution feed and related equipment for Chlorine, Sulfur Dioxide, Carbon Dioxide, and Ammonia. We have also been producing vacuum feed equipment for a variety of liquid chemical solutions since 2000. From the beginning, Hydro Instruments has focused on producing the most durable equipment on the market. Our equipment is constructed by machining (rather than injection molding) the finest materials available for each application.

Under new ownership & management since 1999, Hydro Instruments has been expanding sales and product offerings. Our growth has allowed us to move the company into much larger facilities during the years 2003 and 2010. In June of 2010, we purchased and moved into a 27,520 square foot facility. Hydro Instruments also has been ISO-9001 Certified since 2010. Driving our success has been our focus on offering the highest quality products and the best service at reasonable prices. When you buy Hydro Instruments' equipment you are buying a quality product and dealing with an honest company, which will stand behind its products and warranty.
Hydro Instruments' gas chlorination equipment is absolutely the best on the market. What sets us apart from ALL of our competitors is that:
  • We take great care in assembly and testing to make certain all products are in perfect working order.
  • We stock all products and parts for immediate shipment.
  • We machine all of our parts from solid stock of the finest materials available. Our body parts are machined from PVC stock. Our body parts will not crack or warp. This prevents leaks and greatly reduces repair costs. Our competitors have cut cost and compromised durability by using injection molding.
  • Our material selection and construction is designed for maximum durability and corrosion resistance. Inlet capsules are solid Hastelloy-C276 or PVDF, inlet valves & rate valves are solid Silver.
  • Hydro offers the finest inlet filter available for up to 100 PPD (2 kg/hr) feed rates. This plug type, porous PTFE (Teflon) filter offers maximum protection from venting caused by impurities and particles.
  • Our vacuum regulators have the fewest parts. Count them. 58 to 64 depending on the model.
As mentioned, we are also focused heavily on maintaining and always improving the quality of our service. In this regard, we offer the following advantages:
