Acrylonitrile-Butadiene-Styrene. ABS is the plastic material from which a majority of the Hydro Instruments chlorinators, switchovers, and remote meter parts are machined. ABS is extremely corrosion resistant and is also known to be weather, stress-cracking, and moisture resistant.

Is a chemical compound often used in diluted form as a common household cleaner. Ammonia gas is used to detect chlorine leaks since it forms a white vapor when it reacts with chlorine in small quantities. Ammonia should never be in the presence of chlorine in large quantities as this can cause a violent chemical reaction!
